Frequently asked questions

How does the AI image recognition work?

Take a photo of your game cases or boxes. Vaultr uses AI to identify multiple games in one photo, with up to about 15 games per scan. Recognition depends on image quality and how clearly the titles are visible.

What platforms are supported?

Vaultr helps organize games across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, and retro consoles. You can review identified titles and their platforms before saving them to your collection.

How many free scans do I get?

New users get 3 free scans to try Vaultr. Each scan can identify up to about 15 games, depending on the photo.

What happens to my collection if I run out of tokens?

Your saved games remain in your vault when you run out of scan tokens. Tokens pay for AI photo scans; you can still browse and manage your existing collection.

Can I manually add games?

Yes. You can search the game database and manually add games to your collection without taking a photo.

How does Vaultr handle my data?

Vaultr uses Convex to store account and collection data. Photos submitted for AI scanning are sent to OpenAI for identification and are not stored by Vaultr after the scan. See the privacy policy for details about service providers and your data rights.

What's included in each scan token?

One scan token pays for one photo analysis. A photo can contain multiple games, up to about 15. Identified games can include metadata such as cover art, release date, developer, and genre.
